TRUEWERK received two 2023 Pro Tool Innovation Awards for the all-new XP WerkPant and Tool Quiver. A panel of judges, composed of contractors, construction business owners, tradespeople and media professionals tallied the votes for the world's most innovative products in the construction and outdoor power equipment industry.
The TRUEWERK XP WerkPant received an award for the “Best Work Pants/Shorts” category. The lightweight, softshell XP WerkPant, launched in August 2023, was developed in partnership with heavy equipment dealer Ziegler CAT when the group needed a more streamlined, technical solution for their employee uniform offerings while offering premier protection and comfort. TRUEWERK’s most technical work pant includes innovative features like breathable built-in knee pads and a flexible waistband, engineered with the needs of modern mechanics and technicians in mind.
TRUEWERK also received an award for the Tool Quiver within the “Best Tool Rigs” category. The Tool Quiver is a unique storage solution for hand tools developed to be compatible with TRUEWERK’s flagship line of work pants. Its design includes multiple compartments to store a variety of tools, including screwdrivers, wrenches, box knives, pliers and more. The Tool Quiver fits conveniently in the cargo pocket on all TRUEWERK T-Line pants, shorts and overalls or can be worn on any belt or harness system for additional modularity.
TRUEWERK’s EDO Fancy Shirt, a performance work shirt designed for trade professionals who want a reliable work shirt that executes in the field and looks great in an office environment, was named a finalist in the “Best Shirts” category.
“We are honored to be recognized in multiple categories for this year’s Pro Tool Innovation Awards,” said TRUEWERK Founder and CEO Brian Ciciora. “TRUEWERK is rooted in creating new and innovative products to serve the growing needs of modern-day trade professionals, who directly impact and influence the products we engineer. To be recognized by leaders in our industry, the very people we exist to support, in this way is a major accomplishment and source of pride.”
In a rigorous evaluation process spanning several dozen hours, the PTIA judges sifted through hundreds of cutting-edge power tools, hand tools, fasteners, products and accessories. The selection of winners was based on a variety of critical factors. Awarded products stood out for their innovative features, revolutionary ergonomics, technological advancements, improvements in job site safety, or exceptional value. The 2023 Pro Tool Innovation Award winners are a testament to the companies and products that propel the construction, landscaping, automotive and manufacturing industries forward. These industry-leading contributions merit recognition for their role in driving progress within their respective fields.
This year, 99 different manufacturers and brands submitted over 465 products in dozens of categories for a chance to take home a 2023 Pro Tool Innovation Award.
In a statement reflecting on the 11th annual Pro Tool Innovation Awards, Executive Director Clint DeBoer expressed admiration for the ongoing innovation in the industry. "This marks our 11th year of hosting the PTIA Awards and each year we witness an increasing level of innovation from both large and small companies," DeBoer said. "Every Pro Tool Innovation Award celebrates a product developed by people who really believe that the standard we're used to is no longer good enough."
The 2023 awards mark TRUEWERK’s sixth year of recognition by the Pro Tool Innovation Awards for their workwear products. The XP WerkPant and Tool Quiver now join previous award-winning products, including TRUEWERK’s T2 WerkPant, T3 WerkBib, Cloud Shirt, B1 Sun Hoodie and more.
